Sugar Free
I’m not going to steer you or anyone in any direction re. diet-I will say that one of the biggest changes in my life was when I decided in October of 2020 ( approx. a year ago from this blog) to go “cold turkey” on sugar, sugar substitutes and the like. I do now incorporate some fruit like organic berries and apples after dinner, but except for a small slice of my daughters wedding cake I’ve done a darn good job in my discipline. There are so many studies linked to insulin resistance and metabolic disfunction, but darn if for 60+ years of my life I craved that sugar fix. You will experience withdrawal symptoms which for me was a massive headache for 2-3 days, but after that it goes away. Food starts to taste different and the cravings which I could not control prior to my decision disappeared. I will talk more about “food focus” and what worked for me, but for now I would highly recommend climbing on my “No Sugar” band-wagon. The reduction of brain fog, higher energy levels and paths leading to a healthier, longer life start with freedom from the addiction of sugar.
I’m just an average Joe and if I can do it so can you!!!
