Read The Lables
I’ve recently been a big proponent of analyzing everything I eat by reading labels.
I’ve mentioned several times that sugar has essentially been eliminated from my diet including sugar substitute and even stevia

Possible health concerns with natural sweeteners
Natural sweeteners are generally safe. But there's no health advantage to consuming any particular type of added sugar.
Consuming too much added sugar, even natural sweeteners, can lead to health problems, such as tooth decay, weight gain, poor nutrition and increased triglycerides. Honey can contain small amounts of bacterial spores that can produce botulism toxin. Honey shouldn't be given to children younger than than 1 year old.
Who needs the extra calories and associated problems associated with it.
My taste buds are completely different now- so much more sensitive to flavor profiles and appreciative of an amazing or terrible meal.
Carbs- I’m sort of in the Keto Club and consume around 100 grams/day- I find the natural carbs I take in with my evening meal helps with my sleep and morning performance. Organic fruits (Berries and Apples) and Vegetables (Beets, cucumbers fermented Sauerkraut and Kimchee) are what I stick to.
I always try to stick with Alaskan fish (Cod, Salmon) because of the purity of the waters, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Eggs from local farmers that raise their animals on regenerative farms, cage free.
I could never tolerate game (Elk, Venison), or organ meat (liver, heart, kidney) in the past, but now I frequently use them in my cooking.
I want to know where and how everything is manufactured, and the add ones- if any.
You can look at different jars of organic Deli Dill Pickles, or Sauerkraut and be amazed at how different each brand is packed and what kind of preservatives are added.
I stay away from processed “quick food” and snacks- most are fried in oxidized seed oils and if you need a snack how about some organic, natural almonds or walnuts, some berries, or some home -made Elk, Venison jerky, or sausage from my friends at Butcher Boy in Warren– all made in house from their farm in Ada Mich.
I tend to stay away from items(fish)canned in olive oil -prefer spring water, no plastic water bottles and Certified Organic is preferred although regulation is not the best, so the local Farmers Markets are a safer bet, and I love getting to know some of the people that bust there ass every day to make a living.
Gluten-Free, Plant Base - be careful what you wish for! There are SO many ridiculously bad ingredients that go into each product.
