Grounding

Who do you aspire to be?

Are you burning yourself out trying to get to that certain “spot” in life?

How much time do you devote to your inner-self and appreciate what you’ve accomplished in life and who’s been positively affected by you.

I remember a CEO of a billion dollar company telling me that his dream is to own a bar in some rural area and live his last days away from everything and everyone.

I recently heard a podcast of a 100 billion dollar hedge fund manager tell the story of how he was motivated to making money by his experience of being a valet in Hollywood and parking cars of the rich and famous, wanting what they had and doing what was necessary to be “that guy”.

It is written that Warren Buffet had a habit of being in the office for 12 hours and coming home to do additional analysis of companies he wished to own till the late hours of the day. He walked in one day and stepped over his son who laid sprawled out on the floor unconscious, not stopping, but continued up to his room to do more work.

Grounding is defined in may ways but one I like is “factors forming a basis for action or the justification of a belief”

What is your basis for actions, money, religion, community?

Can you justify a belief that things will be better if I only had…..

Love the skin your in, positively influence others and form winning habits that get you “grounded” both mentally, and physically.
